Orland Prospectus

The Tehama County Photo Club’s Orland Art Center 2018 Juried Photography Show is scheduled for February and March 2018.  This show follows close on the heels of the Tehama Country Visitors Center show.  HOW WILL WE RELATE THIS TO THE VC SHOW SELECTIONS?  TOP (CHOOSE A NUMBER) SELECTIONS FROM THE VC SHOW, AND EVERYONE IS FREE TO ENTER PHOTOS SPECIFIC TO ORLAND.

Exhibition: Images will be exhibited in the Orland Art Center Gallery at 732 Fourth Street in Orland.

Eligibility: Any TCPC member residing in Northern California age 18 or older may enter the show. The show has an open theme and images may be captured either digitally or on film. Works must be captured and post-processed solely by the entrant (except for film developing and printing). Entry Fees: $6 for the first three images and $2 for each additional image. All entry fees will be charged to your credit card and are non-refundable.  The Orland Art Center requires that work to be shown not have been exhibited there in the past.

There is no limit on the number of images you can enter. 

Calendar:
Deadline for entries is midnight December 15, 2017.
Notification of accepted images December 20, 2017.
Deadline for delivery of ready-to-hang images:  To TCPC for delivery, Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at the Main Street Gallery.  If unable to deliver during regular gallery hours call to make arrangements.  The Orland Art Center delivery time is Monday, January 22nd, 2018 between 1pm and 3pm.
Show opens February 2nd, 2018.
Show Closes March 17th, 2018.
Pickup date at the gallery is March 19th, 2018.  WILL WE COLLECT ALL THE PIECES AND RETURN THEM TO RED BLUFF, OR ONLY THOSE THAT CAN’T BE PICKED UP BY THE OWNERS?

Use of Images: Entrant grants the Tehama County Photo Club, the Orland Art Center, and their representatives and agents the right to reproduce their work for show marketing. Entrant grants only the preceding rights and retains ownership of and all other rights to their works.
Jurors: Our Jurors will be 3 local professional photographers.

Judging: All jurying of submitted images will take place Online.

Presentation: Works selected to show must be delivered ready-to-hang. There is no size limitation for this show. Pieces not meeting the Photo Club’s standards of quality presentation will not be accepted to hang. 

Entry Process: Images must be submitted online as digital files. To enter, go to ttps://client.smarterentry.com/tehama. Entry fees must be paid in advance with a credit card. 

Image Specifications: To prepare your images for uploading, please adhere to the following image file specifications: • sRGB or Adobe RGB color space (standard) - NOT CMYK (typically used by printing industry) 72 ppi resolution • Sized to 1,280 pixels on the longest side, the other side width or height proportional • Layers flattened • 8 bit mode • JPG format • JPG compression at level 7 (medium) • Do not use characters other than a period preceding jpg in the file name. The following characters will lead to image uploading problems: !@#$%^&*()_+’ 

Delivery of Artwork: Entrant is responsible delivery of accepted pieces to and from the show.  DO WE COLLECT ALL THE PIECES AND TAKE THEM TO ORLAND? BRUCE PERKIN SAYS THAT HE PROVIDED TITLE CARDS FOR EVERYONE TO THE GALLERY.

Liability release: Entrant agrees that the Tehama County Photo Club and Orland Art Center assume no liability for the artwork. It is agreed that ordinary care and precautions for the safety of the artwork will be taken once it is delivered. If the entrant wants the work insured, they are responsible for acquiring said insurance. 

Sales: All pieces must be for sale.

Local Professional Services: Printing, framing and matting of pictures for display and/or arranging for professional services to accomplish same is the sole responsibility of entrant.
